Largest Air Network in Brazil

42 Airports – 2 of which are International: Foz do Iguaçu International Airport and Afonso Pena International Airport, ranked the 4th best airport in the world for passenger experience, according to the 2022 AirHelp Score ranking.

Paraná has favorable climatic conditions and competitive characteristics, such as logistical infrastructure, proximity to the main consumer centers, presence of research centers and universities, as well as important industrial hubs.

A Sector in Constant Development

Tourism grew by 11% in Paraná over the first eight months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. This result ranks the state as the best performer in the Southern region and the third best in Brazil overall.

3rd Best State for International Tourist Arrivals

Paraná was the third most popular entry point for foreign tourists in Brazil in 2022, with 522,000 visitors, behind only São Paulo (1.5 million) and Rio de Janeiro (652,000). The states of Rio Grande do Sul (474,000) and Santa Catarina (140,000) followed.

FOZ DO IGUAÇU – 3rd Most Visited Destination in Brazil

The Iguaçu National Park received over 1.062 million visitors from 155 different countries in the first seven months of 2023.

In 2022, the Iguaçu National Park, an environmental reserve with over 185,000 hectares located in the Western and Southwestern regions of Paraná, welcomed over 1.5 million visitors in its touristic area, home to the Iguaçu Falls.

It ranked third, behind the Tijuca National Park (RJ) and Jericoacoara National Park (CE), with 3.5 and 1.6 million tickets, respectively.
