Tecpar is a public laboratory, supplying products to the Ministry of Health, and a Scientific and Technological Institution focused on Research, Development and Innovation in the area of Health.
Park with the production of inputs for up to 40 million vaccines
Fiocruz announced in 2022 a financial investment valued at R$200 million directed at the structure of the Health Technology Park. The aim is to head into 2024 with the production of inputs for up to 40 million annual doses of different vaccines.
Technological Park of Health
The Technological Park of Health from Tecpar actively attracts businesses in the sector through investments into Research & Development (R&D) and the production of innovating goods and services. It emcompasses two campuses of Tecpar: The main host, located in Curitiba’s Industrial Sector, and the Araucária Unit, in the capital’s metropolitan zone.
The Park is home to Tecpar; the Carlos Chagas Institute (ICC/Fiocruz), a regional technical-scientific unit of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Paraná; and the Paraná Molecular Biology Institute (IBMP), created in partnership between the Paraná State Government and Fiocruz. In addition, Tecpar’s Technology Incubator (Intec), which is also installed in the Park, acts as a gateway for innovative companies.
Installed in the park are Tecpar; the Institute Carlos Chagas (ICC/Fiocruz), the regional technical-scientific unit of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Paraná; and the Molecular Biology Institute of Paraná (IBMP), created through a partnership between the Paraná State Government and Fiocruz. Alongside the such, the Technological Incubator of Tecpar (Intec) is also installed in the area, acting as an entry space for new innovators in the industry.
