Paraná is the largest producer of animal protein in Brazil.
Responsible for 34.2% of all production in Brazil, with more than 2.2 billion birds slaughtered in 2024.

Bean cultivation in the state represented 28% of the national total in 2024, with a production value of approximately US$ 554 million and a harvest of 860 thousand tons.
Paraná’s triticale production represents 50% of Brazil’s total, with 21.4 thousand tons produced in the state in 2024.


The three main crops in Paraná: soybeans, corn, and wheat reached in 2024 a Gross Production Value (GPV) of about $ 6.2 billion, $ 2.45 billion, and $ 540 million, respectively.
Paraná is Brazil’s second-largest wheat producer, harvesting 2.5 million tons in 2024, with a production value of around $ 540 million.
The state is also the second-largest corn producer in the country, with nearly 15.5 million tons harvested in 2024.
Additionally, Paraná ranks second nationally in potato cultivation, harvesting 699,000 tons in 2024.
Soybeans, the most widely cultivated crop in Paraná, achieved the second-largest national production in 2024.
A total of 18.6 million tons were harvested.

Agribusiness Responsible for 80% of Paraná’s exports
From January to September 2025, Paraná recorded $ 17.7 billion in exports and $ 15.6 billion in imports, resulting in a positive trade balance of $ 2 billion.

In 2024, Paraná exported $ 14.2 billion in food and beverages.
Soybeans remained the flagship of the state’s exports, totaling $ 5.3 billion. The second most exported product was chicken meat, with $ 3.8 billion. In third place, soybean meal trade reached $ 1.4 billion, while raw sugar ranked fourth, totaling $ 1.2 billion.

Paraná is the 5th largest exporter in Brazil and the top exporter in the Southern region.

A major portion of Paraná’s production comes from highly professional cooperatives.
Of the 241 cooperatives in the state, 62 are agricultural or agribusiness cooperatives.
These cooperatives account for 64% of Paraná’s agricultural GDP.
In 2024, agricultural cooperatives in Paraná generated $ 7.9 billion in exports.
